Mastercard FoundationSheria Kiganjani
Sheria Kiganjani is a youth-led organization in Tanzania, dedicated to promoting legal access among low-income earners, particularly youth and women, through digital means. Their mission revolves around facilitating access to legal services using technology, connecting individuals to lawyers. As Tanzania's first legal digital platform, Sheria Kiganjani aims to bridge the justice gap by remotely linking citizens with legal services and information. The platform strives to ensure that all Tanzanians have access to their rights, regardless of their knowledge of the country's laws. Specifically targeting low- and middle-income earners who may struggle to afford legal services, Sheria Kiganjani enables users to engage with qualified lawyers via chat and phone 24/7, as well as access informative legal content through the internet and mobile phones.
